Our son is autistic and AWESOME! He can now ride a bike without training wheels. This video is fantastic to us, but even more cool is that after a couple of days of riding he looks like he’s been riding for years. He’s 15 now and has his sights set on DRIVING!
The more I hang out on my “farm” (yes, I’ll continue putting it in quotes until I actually feel like I’m farming on my “farm”), I feel a strong desire to be a good steward of what God has given me. I look around and see all the nature that exists on my property and thank God for the opportunity to be here… to take care of this little piece of His creation. It was easy for me to be caught up in a more selfish view while living in the suburbs/city. There was some disconnect from it all. Out here I feel more connected to nature. This short video of the baby bunnies is just a little peep through a small window of the nature that I am blessed to be a steward of.
No matter where you are, I pray that you take a moment to look around and be blessed by what God has done for us in His creation.

Recently we lost one of our new Silkie chickens to a Texas Rat Snake. I found the snake fat and happy in the chicken’s water bowl. The snake had squeezed in but could not get out of the chicken wire cage because he had become too fat. I captured the snake and was going to let it go under the shed. The prevailing logic at the moment was that the snake would return for another chicken…so, I killed him. I do not like killing snakes, but there ya have it.
Here is a silly video I made of the incident.
