Yep, I’m a junky. I have to have it. My current lifestyle depends on it.
That is a sad way to start a blog post for a guy that is presenting a lifestyle of self sufficiency, permaculture, homesteading and gardening.
If we are honest with ourselves we can recognize our real challenges. I admit that I am addicted to commercial grains, therefor I can work on finding a remedy.
The first step to finding a solution to a challenge is admitting there there is a challenge, right?
Why do I do what I do? There are lots of good reasons to grow your own food, to reconnect with the earth and God…. but why do I put it all online like I do. Here’s a really big reason. People connections.

Let me first say that I’m not the Fig Tree expert. My neighbor has been a Master Gardener for a very long time. He has planted thousands of plants. You see, Luke loves to garden. Luke has also been watching his daddy do gardening video for a YouTube channel for a while now. This time Luke wanted in on the action for real!
