First, I have to say… I’m pretty excited. This is my first official post on Daddykirbs.com! Yay 🙂
Cucumbers, Brussels, Broccoli, Chard, Lettuce… and feeding Goats
Sometimes it’s extremely difficult to find time to get things done! That’s how I feel right now. There’s so many things to do. The project list on the farm is getting longer and longer. But that can’t stop the garden. A farmer has got to eat and you can’t eat what you don’t plant! Luke and I take some time to do a small patch in the garden tonight. I can’t say that it’s all done correctly, but that small patch is done for now.
You see, Luke loves to garden. Luke has also been watching his daddy do gardening video for a YouTube channel for a while now. This time Luke wanted in on the action for real! He wanted to plant pumpkin seeds, but at the same time he made it clear that he wanted to have a video of it. I’m very excited to watch Luke express himself on camera because in some ways he connects very well with the camera in ways that he can’t with a live audience. Summer heat is coming fast! This Strawberry bed was the ideal location in my garden because it gets the most afternoon/evening sun of all my garden beds! Well… when I planted it I didn’t know any better. Someday I’ll move my Strawberries somewhere else but for now they are right where they are. Early this season when I was up in the orchard just observing my trees (I like to do that), I noticed something
a little weird.
I have this little Peach tree that has two main trunks. One side is producing leaves and very few flowers and the other side is producing loads of flowers and very few leaves. Both branches, or trunks, are above the graft so there isn’t any chance of it acting like two different trees.
Did I Make My Peach Tree Produce More Fruit by Accident?
